Slideshow San Francisco, June 2006
Introduction
In June/July I spent about 10 days in San Francisco attending a conference and meeting friends. I also made a trip to the North up to Mendocino, driving back the scenic highway 1 along the coast.
Shows
-
[San Francisco, The City]:
Of course I spent some time in the city, watching the "usual" things. Enjoy some appealing aspects of the town.
-
[Pride 2006]:
What an experience: Pride 2006. I had good luck: on my second day in San Francisco the famous gay parade "Pride" took place. Despite the jetlag I enjoyed it a lot.
-
[Going North]:
For two days we drove to the North: Sonoma County, Mendocino, Fort Ross, Tomales, Point Race and had a good time.
-
[Fort Ross]:
Fort Ross was build by the Russions in the 19th century. We had good luck to be there with a lot of fog and no people. Scenic after all.
-
[Tomales]:
Accidentally stopping in Tomales. What a great little town. Like in a spaghetti western ;-)
-
[Point Race]:
The famous lighthouse "Point Race". A lot of steps to go...
-
[Jazz Festival at Filmore Street]:
The second lucky event: Filmore Jazz Festival; Great Jazz and Great Seafood. More to say...?
